YOGA for Spiritual Practice - (Wednesdays)

"Yoga for Spiritual Practice"

This class emphasizes the origins of yoga as a set of practices to prepare the body and mind for spiritual practice. Designed for all-levels, the practice of Dharma Yoga combines Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga fundamentals with Buddhist approaches, such as compassion and non-reactivity, for classes that flow like a "moving meditation." Whether or not you practice meditation at BCCP, Dharma yoga is a physical doorway to expanding self-awareness.

About the Presenter:

Jonathan Olsen is a graduate of the Dharma Yoga School's 200-Hour Teacher Training with mentors Keith Kachtick and Camilla Figueroa.  He began his yoga path in 2015 after the loss of a family member showed him first-hand that mind and body health are keys to living our best lives.  Outside yoga, Jonathan is a social entrepreneur, connecting behavioral health patients with support services.  Jonathan calls BCCP his Sanga home and is a daily practitioner of meditation as taught by Dan Brown.
